I have a luk in it now, but on the way to work when i floored it in second it spun up to 4k and smelled like burnt hair! I am thinking i need a new one. (Not a big deal as I replaced 3 in one summer with my 86 stang)

I'm looking at the king cobra will that be adequate?

Your gonna need a little more than a KC. AFM sells a super king cobra which from there add handles 35% more than the regular version. Spec Stage II is also another option. Shop around but make sure there is a HP rating so you know where you stand.

I haven't personally heard of anyone using it with a SBF..... but I'd also check into the CF Stage 3. I know they sell a high quality PP.... but like mentioned before, check into HP ratings on the discs for all of them.

I agree with HUNTED, I have and have ahd a centerforce dual friction with no problems...my car went 11.70's with drag radials and nitrous. When I put it back together and it goes 10.60-10.80's I'll let you know if it still works well!

www.nitrostangracing.com Get the mcleod dual friction clutch kit with the FMS HD pressure plate modified by promotion. Its not a stock fms HD pressure plate, its modified to handle over 450hp and high rpm's. Its perfectly streetable and not a hard hitting chatter box. You have a heavier car so this clutch is also perfect for you. Ask killercanary.
