Im can get a good deal on some summit style racing seats, but they have two small teers..can you repair this? the teers are only 1 inch long...can this be fixed by my self?? if not what would a shop charge for the repairs?
thanks
there is a guy that goes by the name of "sam the vinyl man" here. He can fix vinyl, leather, plastic, etc. but if you call him to do the job he doesnt let you see how he does it. so im sure its possible.
You can repair them with the kits you can get at the auto parts places and such, but more than likely you will still see the seam. A local upholstry shop quoted me $35 to repair a rip on the door panel right by the handle, about 2" long. Their repairs were really good and you could only tell if you really looked closely at it. Just call around some upholstry shops and see what they would charge if you care about the appearance. Or get one of the kits if you just want them to be repaired enough so they won't rip more.
