Can you swap a 81 302 carb from a 90 2.3 EFI?

Can you swap a 81 302 carb from a 90 2.3 EFI?

I may have my hands on a free 1981 302 carbed motor out of a ford camper van (my Dads ) . I will of course be doing a complete engine tear down and beef it up a bit (bore, parts replace) and clean and polish it. The car That it will be going in is my 90 LX. Just wondering if its been done.

I know I need to beef the suspension, replace the rear end with a 8.8, upgrade the front brakes to a 5 lugnut meaning ditching my 4 lug tires, get a dual exhaust. and so on. But its a 1.5 year project and I will be buying parts at a time until I have everything I need.
