First of all, I am new to the forum, and truly appreciate in advance any efforts to help me with my issue. The forum looks like a real gem.

I purchased an '89 GT convertible (manual) project car. Needs a LOT of work cosmetically, but engine and tranny are solid. I drove the car several times after purchasing it and started it to let it idle numerous other times. Always fired up right away, no problem. I finally began to strip the interior, taking all of the seats, side panels, and carpet out. Also took out center console, removed heating/cooling instrument panel, gauge cluster, basically everything easily removable from the dash. After restoring several pieces of vinyl dash pieces and installing cobra gauge faces, I reassembled the gauge cluster and basically everything attached to the dash except for the heat/AC switches. I turned the key forward and all of my instrument lights work, but my fuel pump did not switch on. Tried resetting the inertia switch - still nothing. I cannot figure out why the fuel pump is not switching on.

Is there anything I may have disconnected in the process of stripping the car that could be creating an open circuit to the fuel pump?

Duh! Relay switch had been disconnected - plugged it back in and she fired right up.

If there was a relay underneath the drivers seat, plug it back in
