I like it. The factory already has black accents with the dash. Get black carpet but keep the gray floor mats or keep gray and get black mats. Get some black and gray seats...it blends in pretty nice.

I know the all black interior is most desired, but just because something is popular doesn't mean it' the best for you. To me, the all black interior is overrated. I think your idea would we badass. Everyone seems to hate the red/black interiors, and I think this is because there is too much RED! My idea for my 90 used to be to put in more black, but keep red on the accents. It looks best to me when black is the primary color, but color on the accents to break it up. Same with the grey interior, it looks good, but there is so, so much GREY and it just looks blah like everyone elses commuter car. Black carpet, prehaps the trim around the carpet to be black such as the runners and kick panels.

My favorite is black and tan. If you can find a super clean tan interior and put black seats in it and accent the door panels and dash with black, it looks awesome. It has a high class leather feel to it.

I think it would look great. I put charcoal gray carpet in my car that had porno red interior and I think it look 100% better.

If you had your seats done in 2 tone black and red, like maybe black on the outsides and red in the center, it would look awesome.

I have black carpet with grey seats. It looks like it was "meant" to be there.

I think the different color carpet would look better if the kick panels and door sill strips where the same color as the carpet, so you don't have the plastic color break right at the opening of the door. That way the whole floor would look like one solid color. Then you'd have to go up the door panels some and maybe do the bottoms of them in carpet color too and let the top wrap around with the color of the dash.

its a seperate panel that staples to the door panel itself. wrap a piece of cardboard or wood in whatever material you want. place it on the door panel and shoot it with a staple gun from behind.

I plan on eventually recovering the seats. I was thinking of something a long the same line you mentioned.

On a side note. I have a 99 GMC Sierra Z71. It has light gray interior. The carpet was light gray. The outside of the truck is dark blue. When I replaced the carpet I went with navy blue and it looks great.

No staples needed. Once you remove the old piece, which is stapled on. You can just glue the new piece on with spray adhesive. That's what I did.

So what im planning on doing is ordering the black carpet, and black paint so i can paint the speaker grilles front and back. along with the black carpet for the door panel. Think that would work out?

I love my charcoal/black interior. I set it off a bit more by using black a/c registers and the black carpet, with black/running horse floor mats.

Two tone for the win!
Here is how mine sits right now, once i get the funds the only parts that won't be black are the console and the lower half of the dash.
