Can't find anywhere to buy cams for '98 cobra DOHC?!?

I'm really looking to get cams for my 98 cobra(yes i understand it will be a lot) but who makes them? I can't seem to find cams on comp cams or crane and I've used search bar but never seem to find a link to prices etc. I want pretty WILD cams but I'm not sure what to go with? Thanks for the help

Try Livernois Performance or other tuners, just don't mess with regrinds...get new billet cams.

Are you also doing any head/intake porting to work with the cams? I don't know how much gain you will see w/o working the whole topend.

www.livernoismotorsports.com i got mine from there and they are great they have off the shelf or custom cams for ur car they cost bout 1200$ talk to Dan Millen (yeah the guy who runs a 7 second mustang) hell hook u up anyway hope i helped

Usually you have to call a company to get prices for cams also, and you have to tell them what you have planned for you car and they'll give you the correct cam you should need for your combo...

And remember, on these cars, a big lopey cam profile isn't necessarily better to have...

Much better to do a complete engine setup vice just the cams. You will pick up little to nothing with just a cam swap - and have a big bill to pay.

Why are 4v all-motor Mustangs so sensitive to duration? I started reading the link off the StangNet homepage to the "Crower Stage II cam install", and when I read the specs I was like WTF? 195/200 deg @ 0.050" or something......my stock Volkswagen 16v (4 cylinder, 4v per cyl) motor has cams like that....I'm running 227deg @ 0.050" now both sides and even that's considered a pretty mild cam in the VW world.

Can anyone shed some light?

its not the duration its the lift that could kill yah. my profile are 258/254 and theyre good.

Not much P to V clearance on the Cobras huh? Same problem with VW 16v's.....for us .450" is big stuff

yah p to v can play into it, but its the fact u have two intake valves opening. in my case .490 lift that doesnt sound like a lot considering 5.0's go over that all the time, but they obviously only have one int. valve as opposed to 2 wich is a lot of airflow, that can kill ur low end.

I dunno, the Stage III (street/strip) looks pretty nice.....228/232 @ 0.050"

It says "rough idle". The Stg II ('hot street') might be better on a daily.......it's actually 210/216 @ 0.050" at the valve, not 194/200 as I indicated above. FWIW the guy who installed the Stg II's in the article I mentioned said he thought it was well worthwhile, and looking at the difference even between Stg II and the factory cam specs, I find it hard to believe otherwise.
