Can't get into 1, 3, 5 (and second is squirly too)

This only happens when the tranny is hot. My clutch cable sounds allitle weird and the clutch releases pretty close to the floor. The problem i had last time was tightening it too much, and it would slip the clutch. Did i install the cable wrong? Does anyone know where to route it? How much pressure should be on the fork?

i'm guessing you torched the clutch cable...but maybe not.
is it really tight to press in?
check where it runs by the header....w/ my long tubes on my old car..i went through a cable every 2 years. even w/ heat shield.
clutch should start to engage about 2" off the floor if i remember right.

the cable routing is critical. also, i would have my point of engagement higher up (just below the brake pedal height is where i like it). this ensures full disengagement.

with the gears you mentioned, are you sure (separate issue) that your shifter stops are adjusted properly?

is the trans fluid up to par? tried swapping in fresh ATF?

The tranny fluid is fresh, I just dropped the motor in. I had the clutch starting to engage less than 2 inches from the floor. Which could have suggested when it got hot it didnt disengage all the way. I hear a creaking sound, and its not coming from my clutch cable. It sounds like it is coming from the forks on the pressure plate.
