Can't get my H pipe to seal to headers

This thing has been leaking since i got it. Currently running BBK shorty headers and BBK off-road h pipe. Have had the h pipe off twice, used the copper rtv, and still leaks. all surfaces are true....whats the trick to sealing this thing? it sounds like crap

its the standard ball and socket flange I assume?

have you tried to tighten the flanges evenly? ( a littile on each side of the flang) I had the same probem. I saw were the leak was and turned the flang.
try that good luck.

I had to use a small hammer to bang the socket on the hpipe together a little tighter. lt worked fine.
