Hi all, its been an intermittent issue but sometimes i cant put my shifter into park. The cable is ok and it shifts fine when i yank the handle off and press the white button directly. Is it possible the handle mechanism is worn out? All the other gears are ok.
It slides out with the handle off yes. It feels like its hitting a wall when i go to shift. Maybe the button on the side isnt pushing the white button down enough to shift it.
My T-5 does not have this problem.
If it shifts right without the handle, I’d be confident the problem was somewhere in the handle or the mounting for it. You could probably use E6000 to glue a spacer in, but a handle with fewer miles sounds like a better deal.
