Viper 791 XV is pretty nice, or one of the newer cliffords. You can usually score them installed for your price range depending on where you go. Best bet is to call around and see what you can score.

I have a Fusion in mine. Had it for 2 years with no issues. It can be a simple alarm or it can have everything (glass sensor, movement, hood, and trunk, etc.) Mine was about $400 installed.

I've got the Autopage RS860 paging alarm system with all the options installed except for remote start (manual transmission) and it's awesome, I really like it. It's in your price range too...installed. I've even got a hyper blue LED light mounted next to my door locks on each door so they blink when the car is armed.
It comes with a cool carbon fiber looking remote with a big colored LCD screen on it.

Who installed yours..hopefully locally in Vancouver? Also, who did your interior trim work (matching to your body color)? Who did your engine mods..gears, etc? And if you did it yourself..can I pay you to assist me in these...lol

i bought the clifford matrix, 50.5x "the ultimate in 2 way security and remote start" and that thing is amazing! it was the most expencive one i could find

~New Style 2-way transceiver
~virtually instant confirmation of remote start
~dedicated (*) one button start
~Turbo Timer Built in
~Defroster Activation output
~Safety shut down
~Timer Mode
~Complete Engine Monitoring
~Engine Checking
~New miniature High Capacity Relay Satellite
~Anti Grind
~ Tach/Voltage checking

i have it installed on my 95 gt convertable... it is awsome!! it has GREAT RANGE! the screen on the lil keychain will tell you if its just a warning.. hood is poped, door is opend, trunk opend... or car is started...

I also had a secondary alarm installed into the first one for an extra 60 bucks... if any wire is cut to my car it will go off and it has its own battery and u can cut every wire to the secondary alarm and it will still go off for up to 3 days... and you need a key to disarm it... lol... its awsome! SPENDY THO!!!

How much did that one cost you? Sounds like I may have found one for the new Terminator I may be getting when I find it...

I use the viper 791XV with remote start and proximity sensor so if someone tries to look in my windows it goes off. you can get them on ebay for around $200 and i have a friend that will install it for about the same. car toys will charge over $1000 for the same setup. let me know if you need one installed he is cheap and does a lot better work then any shop.
