hey guys my car is cutting out at 6250 rpms, like it runs into a wall, then the shift light comes on, and im forced to shift, but it still feels like its gaining power, my highest trap speed of the night was 108.5 but i ran a 13.0
ya, its the rev limiter. No need to shift past that, check out the thread on where to shift an 03/04 cobra. But if you really want to, you can get a chip and raise that.
The tach in our cars is not quite as fast as the engine unfortunately. Even though the tach seems to be reading 6250, you're really at 6500. My car seemd to hit the rev limiter before the tach reached redline too! I'm assuming you have a chip or a custom tune in order to set the stock shift light that high???
