AARRHHHHGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I put it back on and fired it up....

AND NOW IT HAS THAT STUPID HIGH PITCHED WHINE, EXACTLY LIKE CSLEDD'S CAR! Apparently I cleaned it too good . If i bend the rubber hose some, it goes away....so im going to buy me a clamp and darn near block it off . I have been by my own doing...should have left it be.

Yea, actually it does sound pretty close. IMHO if I heard it i would think it was S/Dd. Its a little more hollow and deeper than a S/C, but it can easily be mistaken for one

dont know thats the bad part since it dies EVERY once in a while...wasnt consistent at all. Now I have to deal with that whine lol. Like I said, im going to clamp it and see what happens. Ill shoot you a PM Christie if I fix it...and believe me I will fix it one way or another, im not going to live with it lol.

Does anyone know what the big black box thing is? im thinking of downsizing the hose (to elimitae the noise) and getting rid of that box thing.

the black box records what happens in the cockpit so when you crash we can review the tape and find out why

What black box is he referring to--that one that's inline with vacuum lines?

csledd...good one.

But yea, the black little box thats inline of the IAC valve. I looked in it and its nothing, just a black box...no recording equipment either....IMO the noise ALMOST seems to stem from it. I bet the increased flow from the IAC combined with the increased flow demand of the engine may have exceded the boxes design capabilitys and thats what is squeeking.

This is the same piece that used to sit up high and rub the hood blanket.

In Kilgore Trout's honor, here is a link to the pic:
