Car Dies help

I have a friend that has a 70 mustang with a 351clev, has a .600 lift 850 carb, and bla bla bla. The problem is when you drive it for about ten minutes
the car dies but will run all day long in the drive way. Has anyone had a problem like this one. Help please

Does he have spark & fuel after it dies?

the spark was not consistant but the feul was

If it is a Duraspark, then consider swapping the Durspark box after checking the 12 volts to it with a voltmeter.

If no Duraspark, then check the points to see if they are mounted down tight & have the right dwell/gap. If the points are OK, then replace the coil & condenser.
