Hi everyone. Kinda new to the late model mustangs. Im usually over in the 4.6 forums. But now im dealing with an 06 V6 that will die for no apparent reason once or twice a month. My mechanic cant figure it out because it wont do it for them and there are no trouble codes in the system. Anyone have any ideas or maybe experienced the same problem. Thanks for any help ahead of time.

No mods. She is bone stock. 24000 miles. The problem is so infrequent that I cant get any good tests run on it. The best I can hope for is someone else that maybe had the same problem.

I'd check the IAC first, then the MAF. The idle air control used to get gummed up on my V-10 and would cause the engine to die, but very rarely. Doubtful it's the MAF, but a little alcohol on a cotton swab couldn't hurt. Should clean it occasionally anyway.

Does it happen after running on the highway?

I had it happen once and it ended up being the fuel pump getting air bubbles there is a TSB on it. I have also heard of people have TB problems but I don't think there is a TSB on it.
