You shouldent be going thru so many alternators....
. I can't imagine that all those were faulty...but that something was causing them to go faulty. I mean one..OK but you have been thru like half a dozen in the last few years. Somethings not right there...
FYI I have a stock one (there since I bought the car 5 yrs ago, dont know if it was replaced before then) now car has 151k mi. on it and I open track the car which is pretty hard on it as the motor runs between 3 and 6k rpms all day long. Not one issue with it yet.
