Car is here

Congrats!

I'm sure you're excited. As you know I also recently ordered a 07. How long did it take for yours to arrive from the time it was ordered? How long from your "Build Date" quoted by Ford's 800 number to its arrival? I figure that my wait will be similar, with the possible exception of transit time from the factory.

Build date as apposed to arrival date

The 1 800 number I posted for tracking my car said it would be delivered last Friday. The dealership told me it would be here today. So actually the dealership was more accurate on the delivery. I dont know if this is because they know when the trucks usually deliver or not. They also ordered a Vista Blue indentical to mine that was delivered at the same time. The salesman held the dealership open so the guy could come by and pick it up late. The discription I got from the receptionist about my car "sweet, really really sweet, are you married?"
I will see it for the first time tommorrow, plan to download pictures here later that evening.:flag:

oh boy a new born pony!
tip one get some good floor mats that actually catch the dirt and spills. tip two dont let anybody in your steed with buffalo wings. and tip three be prepared for all the chicks to start giving you the eye and hitting on you. :)

So how long from the build date to when the car arrived?

Picked my car up today. I havent driven a stick in 20 years so I picked a route that is four lane and not very crowded. I held to the speed limit and was amazed how almost everyone would pass me like they were racing me. I had a Ford Explorer rev his engine and bark his tires at me, then look in the rear view like he had accomplished something.

And when I finally felt confortable enough to get down on it one time, let me tell you at 3krpm, it comes alive.

congrats bro!

I'm with you. Just got my GT on monday night (auto transmission).
I have been driving SUV's the past 6.5 years. I went from 37 years old to 17 in about 3 seconds... I stomped on the gas and nearly soiled myself, it has power and where every other car I had would top out, it just keeps winding out. the sound of that 300 HP engine growling is just... chilling. my car is angry at the world. i love it!

I hope you are getting the same goosebumps from yours!

once you get used to the manual tranny again (after you stop grinning from ear to ear), you'll be shaking people's fillings loose with that beast. happy miles!

I reved it up for a couple of my sons friends that were over at the house last night. I got one hell of a response. Thinking about not doing the flow mast thing now, the factory exhaust just sounds mean.

Heh.. listen to some exhaust sound clips floating around here. You'll change your mind pretty quickly
