Car is hesitating or missing......

everytime I turn on the heat or AC. When I turn off the heat or AC, it drives normal. I can't hear any belt squel or anything like that. Do I need to tighten the tensioner up? Help please!! Thanks

Is it intermittent? Does it happen when you turn on the a/c or defrost? If you hear a click and the engine seems to be under a load, then that's the A/C compressor coming on and it is normal. If may feel like a miss because the compressor clutch is engaging for a bit and then disengaging.

Definitely a noticable load on the stock car. When I lived in Vegas I had my air on all the time (even with the top down). The car dogged out bad when the compressor kicked in. Whenever there was going to be a bit of a "street confrontation", I'd be sure to have the AC/H system turned off.

yes its normal to have that load right when u turn on the AC etc.. but he is feeling this all the time when just the AC or Defrost is on... its not just for that initial compressor engaging...

Could this Compressor be engaging and then not disengaging??.. Until he manually turns it off by turning the AC/Defrost off??

It misses or hestitates the entire time I have the AC or heat on(even cruising on the highway), not just when the compressor clutch is first engaging. My car didn't do this last summer at all, but this summer it seems to be a problem. Again, when I turn off the AC or heat, it drives normal.
