ever since i have had my torq thrusts on, the car pulls sometime. it doesnt do it all the time, only on certain roads. if the road is a new perfectly flat one, it doesnt pull really. if the road is an old one, where the center is a little higher from it being worn out, then it does. my car has stock susp. would i need an alignment since i went to a wider rim/tire? or does this just happen occasionally with wider fronts?

Wider tires will follow the grooves in the road much worse. It's normal, but worth the look in my opinion.

Any radial tire will follow grooves in the road- whether the road is being stripped for re-blacktopping, or there are depressions from truck traffic, etc. The larger (wider) the tread surface, the more pronounced it will be. (That may be why you only noticed it with the new tires.)

The more "crown" in the road (higher in center vs. shoulders) the more pronounced it will be.

That said, if you have a tire problem, sometimes one tire will pull (try: rotate back to front and if the pull goes away, it's the tire that was on the front) or the caster settings on the car are wrong (not adjustable on the '05 w/o a strut plate kit).

The factory caster settings assume the stock tires, and "normal" crown. Any other road condition can cause funky handling. I would try the rotation, and if the pull is there, live with it. If it goes away- get a new tire under warranty.

If you mod the struts to adjust caster, it's going to pull the other way on "flat" roads.

Same problem with my 20's. If you notice when you pull up to a light where there are noticeable divits in the road it will pull really bad when you try to stop at the light. I had a serious pulling issue when I put the stock wheels back on for winter and then changed back to my 20's in the spring. They forgot to mark where the original wheels were mounted. After a second balancing it improved back to the original drive. The custom wheels are difficult to balance and will always pull with the road.
