Donuts? Are you guys talking about the round hard gaskets that look like they might go between the header and h-pipe? If so, do not use it, it is not meant for that type of exhaust flange. They are cast iron manifold to exhaust gaskets. The only gaskets that are on a mustang exhaust system are the header gaskets.

you should be able to tell if tis a exahsut leak cause it will sound like crap, and if its near the headers, you should be able to hear it leaking, its def notciable. Id go to another exhaust shop and have them look at your car, are you running tailpipes?

Is it that we aren't listening or your not explaining clearly? I have the same problem with my brother-in-law. He always calls me in a panick, says some weird $hit about what his car is doing, and usually it's nothing like he described.

If your motor is louder than your exhaust- what does it sound like- regular engine noise, popping, hissing, grinding? Is it possible that you have a massive exhaust leak at one of the exhaust manifolds? Help us out here.........

well the car runs fine right? all in all maybe the car is just plain loud.. our camaro.. you could hear it a mile away bc of how bad it was and that it had slp (basically no mufflers) so we stuck magnaflow system on it and all it did was change the tone but you could still hear it a mile away.. no joke either

thats probly the hissing sound you hearing because that pipe comes form the back of the head and it is fed by small holes in the exhaust ports. so yes get that tube fixed and it will fix the exhaust leak and quiet down the engine noise.
