hmm my stock fox was at 14.8 at 93 but that is a lighter car but it only had 2.73 maybe its shift points or maybe just not quite fast enough between gears or you could just have a slow car and the people running in the 14 have a fast one or they are power shifting and you arent (plz dont) i dont do that cuz i want to drive it home after a night of racing.

Your trap speeds are extremely low. You should be running at least 99mph. I think you're power is really f'ugged up.

You need to head to a dyno and get it tuned ... pronto ...

Fuel filter?? does the car run rough? try cleaning out the maf wire with some brake parts cleaner, but dont toutch it. when I put on my cai w/ a k&n filter my car started running rough after awhile, I think what happened is all the extra oil thats on the filter gets blown through and some of it gets on the maf wire and all the dirt and impurities that dont get cought by the filter, stick to the maf... anways I sprayed mine off with brake clean, let it air dry and it was good as new, car ran alot better.

edit: 15 sec??? my 98 gt will keep up with that... and its an auto

Well.....if I remember right Kalin, you couldn't seem to muster up any real good numbers when your car was an auto, so I doubt it has anything to do with your shifts like you said before. I would definately see what your numbers are, they will give you a better idea it's power or traction, seems more so like power. Maybe check your exhaust and driveshaft. Hope you get it all checked out.

Your mph seems to be a bit low, have them do a compression/leak down test to make sure all yours horses are still in the barn. Check the timing while you are at it.
What are the upgrade/gearing on your car ? That would help everyone . And what is the stories on the ECU ? Did you change it over from a different year model or you are running a "chips" ?

Wouldn't go so far to say your a "sucky driver" but your 60ft times jump out as a big problem. Not throwing stones here - mine are pretty crappy as well. Try lauching from idle and then work your way up, feathering the clutch and launching at higher and higher RPM's - without spinning. With just a 2.3 sec 60ft, you'll be in the 14's no problem.

The 94-95 mph seems reasonable for a car of that weight, your more recent mph may reflect a problem. Your 60ft times must come down. I don't know what tires you are running, but if you are going to drag race, you need either drag radials or ET streets or slicks. With the latter two of those listed, your times would drop drastically. Drag radials can work great, but you will be dependent on track preparation which is usually not very good on test and tune nights. What size wheels are you running?

kalin, is your IRS still stock? Some modifications to benefit handling will also greatly improve the cars ability to launch and reduce wheel hop.

Consider the following in no specific order:
shocks
springs
IRS diff bushings
IRS subframe bushings
03 cobra diff brace
IRS control arm bushings (delrin or nothing).

I definately think you should get the ECU looked at, as the auto to manual could be affecting it.

Definately DO NOT put drag tires on an IRS car unless you want to replace halfshafts.

yep IRS is stock and I am not planning on going with dr's or et's

my problem was the fact that i was going so slow through the trap... do you guys think it's normal?

i'll definately get a tune soon and i will postpone the blower until everything is sorted out

Damn man! That sucks. YOur car looks really nice though hehe.

My 98 gt with a 2.3 60' runs a 14.410 at almost 98MPH. Somethins wrong with your car. 4.10's made my car faster on the street but track times did not improve one bit. Good luck getting that taken care of.

PM me so I can give you my number for when you're down at blood. I want an excuse to stop in there lol.

Ummm.....In the dealers defense, you cant just cut and paste the flash into the pcm. When you get a pcm from Ford, it is blank. You must transfer the flash from the old pcm to the new unit. When you do that, the part of the flash that controls the trans will be transferred along with the pats calibration. The tech's have no control over this, it is how Ford does it. Before you go hating on the dealers, understand that there is only so much they can do. The techs are not allowed to do anything outside of what Ford lets them do. Your best bet is the aftermarket.
