My 99 was totaled last week and I want a replacement. I have been looking around on ebay . I came across 2 that have potential. Because of things I wont mention in threads I want to buy something more "fun". I'd also like a V8 this time. Because of the unmentioned things I would like to upgrade .

Here they are

I really like the black one. I was talking to him about working something out but people bid on it before we got to really start talking. I need to find out if thats the actual miles on the engine or not. It seems high for a crate engine. It's mint condition for its age though.

What do y'all think?

Anybody got and tips or heads up on these years? I'm used to my 94

Yeah, I say the black one. Much more clean than the other one. I'd take that cobra badge off of it when I got it. Just My Opinion.

Not sure if it matters but the '88 doesn't have working AC. I notice he didn't mention that.

The white one has welds...

The white one has a primered hood...come on...get it painted seller!!!

The white one has porno red.....

The seller of the white one HAS ALL CAP LOCKS AND NO PERIODS! Makes you wonder if he hurries trying to list the car for sale, be prolly hurried putting that pile together.

That white car is just not nice. He has neglected detail. The engine bay is filthy. Look at the camber plates. Yes they're stock, but dude....it takes 10 dollars and about 30 minutes to buy supplies, sand, tape and paint them.

The black 88 is sexy with the dark grey 2 tone on the bottom...I'd be all over that.

Mansonozz did you pick that out just by looking at the pics?

It don't really matter I'm a cheap ass and don't use ac much anyway but how hard would it be too hook it back up?

He said he would end the auction for 5500. Probably aganist ebay cause I don't see that he has it for sale local.
Would that car be worth that?

Its higher then I wanted to go but I really need a car. I want something nice, fun to drive, and enjoyable to own.

That black one looks great with that color combo

Seems more solid as well. If in fact it is a GT-40 crate motor....can't beat that.

Whats wrong with welds?

The white car is junkkkkk, you can tell its been hammered on by taking one look at it, and if it looks that bad on ebay, imagine what you will find when you get it home.

The black car is pretty clean, and you can tell that the owner takes a little bit of pride in the car.

Dont rush into buying a car, take some time and in the longrun you will save yourself alot of money and aggrivation.

I would say that black car is worth 5k max, but i wouldnt spend more than 4200 on it.

ill advised

Black '88: I think all of the reasons why have been covered.

The Snypers aren't really working for me on that car (maybe it's the size of the wheel) but it still looks good.

I say the black one, the only drawback I see is the Powerdyne; and I can see that it doesnt have working A/C either... no hoses.

The white one has a red interior and welds.

I hate welds. My buddy had them on his car and the car was too unpredictable while driving on the street.

Plus, I think they are a waste of money and make the car worse looking. IF you are a hard core drag racer, okay, but for a street car, just got with some meats. 17X10.5 18X10 etc....

They arent the best but it should work fine. They have a internal belt that breaks from time to time. I had one for 3,000 miles or so, was used when I got it and was still going when I sold it.

Yes. At the least it would need a recharge, plus the appropriate hoses to hook it back up. Who knows if anything is wrong with it (loose clutch, though cheap to replace w/a used comparable part; condensor; etc.). Not the end of the world but know it ahead of time and even use it to your advantage when agreeing on a price.

Bottom line regarding price, is if it's worth $5500 TO YOU then it's worth it...period. But for that car you could do better somewhere else. On that note, one can ALWAYS do better elsewhere, so there comes a time when you decide if it's worth it to you and you alone, and either buy or don't buy. I'm often alone in that thought but everyone here likes to be a pain Being built like it is, a similar car isn't so rare that you'd have to jump on it. If you figure you can find a similar or better one at a similar or better price, just wait on it. If you don't, then put in an offer.

It's not an extravagant price, and provided it's not a piece of **** it's still a blown 5.0 car with nice paint. Not bad for in the 5 grand range. Even if it is a Powerdyne
