I know it isnt a mustang but pretty much the same engine just speed density and 75 less horse. I have a 91 Grand Marquis and I will try to start it and it will almost fire once and start up but then just keeps cranking. It has spark and compression and the timing is perfect, but you can here the injectors just DUMPING gas into the engine. Has anyone had any problem like this with their 5.0 if so what was the problem. I am thinking either the Computer or the Fuel pressure regulator? Please Help

If you think you can hear fuel dumping into the engine, it might be a good idea to check the fuel pressure. If you don't have a FP guage, you can probably borrow one from a chain auto parts store like Autozone. Off the top of my head, I think the fuel pressure is supposed to be somewhere around 36-40 PSI, but please don't take that as gospel. I think you're on the right track, hope it all works out.
Possilble O2 sensor problem... Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…
