Car Stolen In San Francisco

Sorry if my thread is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it. My car was stolen a couple weeks back and I'm going to get nothing out of it from insurance. If anyone in the Bay Area has any leads, please PM me.

Keep checking Craigs List . I will keep an eye out in the Fresno to Bakersfield Craigs List, i am on it all the time, but it will unfortunately probably get pieced out . Hope you get it back .

Maybe this is a good time to mention "declared value" insurance. It's usually an inexpensive way to cover the costs of significant upgrades and modifications.

I've got Haggerty on my fox. 25k replacement. Had to take pics and give a full list of mods, guy called me and said, "Nice car! we'd love to insure you!" The rest is history.

The O.P. probably only has the minimum insurance required by law to be legal, liability, which does not cover theft therefor he is getting literally nothing for his car. Get full coverage guys. His Mustang is probably South of the border right now, they love 5.0's in Mexico.

I've had a couple cars stolen from me in my time and it's a TERRIBLE feeling walking out to where you parked your car only to find an empty parking space.

Thanks for the support All...I found one door that is like kind on Craigslist and got no response, was hoping it was a joy ride but it's likely gone. No broken glass and I had my hidden killswitch engaged, someone wanted it and was patient. That and it was right outside my apt and I would have heard it fire up, may have been snatched by truck.

Yeah I should have had it insured by value but it gets about 2k miles a year. I'll be sure to do that on the next one regardless, already peeking at other options to fill the garage spot.

watch craiglist, EBAY, racing junk, yellow bullit, etc

Post pics of the car and a detailed description so we can keep an eye out for it. I hate to say it, but most likely it is chopped and the parts will be sold off.

Call all the junkyards within a 50 mile radius and alert them. give them your VIN.
