Car stored since 86, tips on restart

I bought a 83 Thunderbird ( I know, this is a mustang forum but it is a fox body) with 35k that has been stored since 1986. It is a 302 CFI auto. I know the gas tank is probably shot but what about the fuel lines and fuel pumps(there are two). The car has been started once in a while but it was not getting fuel so they poured gas in the carb. I don't know crap about the CFI units so any insight would be nice. I bought a Chiltons right off the bat. I know I need to change all the fluids from front to back but I'm looking for the stuff that you guys have encountered in this type of startup.

Drop the tank and drain it. clean out the fuel lines, new fuel, filter, maybe a new pump if all the fuel is varnished badly enough. give it a tune up. plugs, wires, etc. and prime the pump as mentioned above.
