Car turns over well sometimes and turns over slowly others...

This never happens when i first start the car but sometimes the 3 or4 time while im driving around. It usually turns over and starts fine, but other times when i turn the gey it will go real slow grrrr pause grrr and then turn over just as fast as normal and start right up. Possible my starter is getting too hot from my headers some times?

sounds like it...try a high torque starter if you have the money, if not get a reman for $40 or less. Starters don't like heat

If you are running long tubes, yes the heat would be an issue.

make a heat shield for it. heat sink sucks. before you kill yourself, try checking your grounds. bad ground can get worse when hot.
