some stupid pos stole my daily driver 92 accord. They stole it from the parking lot of my work.

I am a bit pissed right now. Guess I will be looking on craigslist and ebay for my stereo and any other parts they could try to sell.

Sorry to hear this, Doug.

Maybe the tweakers will have an accident in it.

that sucks... i've had my car stolen once and broken into a few times.. a fuel cut off switch could have prevented them from getting too far. which reminds me i need to install one on my truck.

I am defiantly going to put either an ignition kill, or fuell pump kill on my other cars.

BTW, who the hell would want to steal a 15 year old pos honda accord with clacking cv joints and 200,000 miles. I have already checked the more notorious traler parks around here. Unfortunantly I have to work tonight so I will not be able to cruise the rural roads looking for it.

I wish I could find out who stole it, Its a toss up if I should beat thier ass or go steal thier stuff.

Man that sucks! Cant imagine they staked it out, probably just random. Dought it would be ricers, more like what your thinking like a twicker needing some blow. Can your stereo equipment be seen or was it hidden? Either way, hope you get it back. Insured?

everything was hidden. The head unit was an 8 year old pioneer thats probably only worth $10.

I would imagine they drove by and saw the parking lot had no people in it. Then took thier time and heated it up.

If I had never quit smoking I probably would of noticed it earlier when I went outside to smoke. But I was inside the entire 12 hours working.
I can tell you its a pretty crappy feeling when You cannot find your own car. I was feeling fairly rummy when I got off work since I had not really slept the day before. It took me a few minutes to realize that it was stolen. even still I had to go through the steps of the night before. I remembered cruising down I-5 and pulling into the parking lot.

Liability only.

Its not really worth the cost to insure a vehicle that old. I would have paid the total value of the vehicle a couple of times before using it.

Perhaps it was an intervention. Your Mustang buddies may have finally decided to take action.

sadly I only have one mustang buddy down here in the portion of Oregon (southern to portland), and I drove by his house already

I do have a bunch of mopar buddies... might go see them this morning

I honestly thought my wife was messing with me. Since she has the spare key. But she cried when I told her. So that kind of ruled her out. (damn pregnancy hormones).

In one more hour I am off work and will be driving up all the rural roads to look for my car. If it was some kids who stole it, then they more than likely would of dumped it off on a logging road. Hopefully they did not light it on fire first.

I need to call the sherriffs office and see if I can get a list of reported abandoned vehicles. There are only 3 deputies on for all of lane county. So I doubt they will be able to get to all of them. If there are any reports of them locally It would be worth looking into.

A lot of stolen cars lately, makes me afraid to even take mine out of the garage...ever.

Is this a normal occurrence around here?

Things that make you go hmmmm.....

I know which trailer parks you are talking about.

In the local paper the police report had several "joyride" stolen cars reported last week. Hope you find it.

No apparent connection, but yesterday between noon and 4:30 someone ran over my wife's daycare sign and hit my neighbor's tree. No skid marks, no sign of braking. The tire tracks thru the grass show that the driver's side hit the tree. Lots of broken headlight and a few small plastic pieces scattered around the sign and tree.

Looked like it was from an older car, and there was some moss growth on the headlight assembly. The tracks show that whoever it was turned the car around and drove away. Nobody saw it happen.

Probably wasn't your car, but who knows?

Send me a description of your car and I will keep an eye out for it.

It a teal 92 accord 4 door with a large crack in the windshield. It has stock wheels, tan interior with a black dash.
There is also a car seat inside, and my running shoes.

Also, Im up on Larch, when we head up there to go shootin, ridin, or wheelin, there are always freshly stripped cars up there. Not sure how far you are from the Hockinson area outside of Vancouver, but checking up there might not be a bad idea.
