Car wont idle need help!!

My 86gt is having problems idling. a couple weeks ago i drove the car around town, it was fine then started the buck and miss, now the car wont even idle. My fuel pressure is at 40psi. i changed the wires, plugs and bought a distributor with new tfi also new cap and rotor, new tps sensor. I got spark and fuel i have to let the car crank longer in order to start while im advancing the dist and hold the throttle open, then the car dies immediatly like after 10 seconds. Does anyone have any ideas?

And

I scanned the car during koeo and got a 4? unknown code and code 14 pip continius code. I tried a koer but the car kept on stalling but it managed to detect that i have a 4 cylinder engine on the scanner display ??????? strange.

Are you sure the distributor is in the right spot and not a tooth off when you put it back in?

follow up

I believe the distributor is in the right place. I turned to car over to TDC removed spark plug until i felt compression then left the balancer on 0 degrees then put the distributor in trying to align the rotor to #1 cyl. Aprrox. what degree should the dist. be at when facing #1 at tdc 0deg ?
