Car wont shift out of park.

Ive had some trouble in the past with getting it out of park and just had to wait a few minutes to let the car warm up and such.. but now it wont get out of park at all .... Im not with the car at the moment but if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Are you pressing the brake pedal? If so then the safety interlock is probably messed up.
