I replaced the headgaskets obn my car. Reassembled everything and fired the car up. The car ran like ***** and heated up very quicky. After searching on here and speaking with some people I figured the distributor was 180 out. Here is what I did lined it back up to 0 on the balancer and #1 pointing at about 1 o clock. I then remozed the distributor and rotated the motor bringing the 0 back up on the balancer and reinstalled the distributor in the same position as before and the car wont start. It just cranks and cranks and sounds like the exhaust underneath the car is burping and rumbling. It did let out a loud backfire which brought all the neighbors outside. Any ideas.
One thing I didnt mention is that the car has 42# injectors cause of the supercharger and previously it would load up on fuel and be hard to start but I never had the bubbling sound in the exhaust and the backfiring. Any suggestions?? I want to hit the track tomorrow!
