I am having my engine rebuuilt this week and having a larger cam being installed. The mechanic who is doing the rebuild got the cam and said it would be appropriate for a mild engine that sees a lot of street driving. However, he said that I am going to need a carb that runs flows at least 500 cfm.
I thought up two setups, since i am on a tight budget i would like to go with the first setup but the dealer at a local performance shop said that the second setup would be more cost effective and get me better mileage.
1. Stock 2 bbl intake and 500 cfm holley 2bbl carb
2. A 4 barrel aluminum intake with a holley 600 cfm or eadelbrock 500cfm carb
What do you guys think?

FMS A321 and Holly 600. It is a dual plane good for the 1500-6000 range. I had it on my bone stock 302 and it kicked a**. With an engine pulling better from a rebuild it will be real nice. PM me
