i just not to long ago bought a SC-trim kit from vortech but if i use this car for track or move to fla(with my fiance') where there is no emission's or inspection is the only difference from that kit to a carbed kit just the discharge tube? what would i need to do the swap to make the kit work for carb? thaks for your help.

You need a few things check out www.turbomustangs.com there are a lot of guys over there running blow through\turbo and blower set-ups.

Here's a good thread about blow through set-ups and part suppliers. http://www.turbomustangs.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13347

I personally like this one for some reason;)

That is an extreme velocities hat and its the best. DONT DONT DONT use the ATI carb hat!!! Its a piece of crap and so is the Vortech hat and the K&N hat. That polished EV hat is $200 and it works like a charm. All other hats can give you tuning issues because they dont correct the flow going into the engine. As for the carburetor, you need to get it specially prepped for blowthrough supercharging. This usually includes milling the choke tower, installing nitrophyl floats, sealing the shafts, and drilling out the emulsion tubes and stuff. TPCracing can do everything for you for under $500. Dont get a carb box either because they cost $600 and they are heavy. You are correct about the kit only needed slight changes, but actually if you just turn the carb hat to the approx location of where the throttle body would be if you had fuel injection, then the plumbing bolts right up. For my kit I just bought my friends EFI Procharger kit and I tried all the plumbing out and it lined right up. Later I bought Prochargers intercooler kit for blowthrough setups and it all lined up of course but I know it doesnt require anything special. Buy the $200 carb hat and get your carb worked for $450 and your all done.

go to my cardomain site for pics. CSU carbs and TPC also sell carbs ready to go for around $800. You can actually use a stock carb with just the choke cut off and installing the floats and really large jets in the secondaries. Thats what I was doing for awhile but it wasnt enough for my 12 lb 347 stroker. With just a 302 and max 8 lbs you can just buy a new Holley Double pumper and call it good. The choke tower you can remove with a dremel, and the floats are like $12. My only problem was the car started to get lean at around 4900 but I was making good boost and have a stroker.

i want to run 8-10 lbs of boost but i dont know jack about carbs so i am blind here i guess i will talk to some of those companies to find a good blow tru carb im prob looking at 800+ but it will be cheaper in the end(no new injectors, mass air conversion, upper intake, fuel rails)
