So I'm converting to carb and was wondering if I could remove the computer completely and still be able to use my headlights and turn signals etc. I know everything else I need to do to make the swap this is just not clear to me I guess.
you can remove the main harness that goes to the computer and the injector harness that is connected to it. But when you do that you will lose all of your factory gauges. All the headlights and stuff will still work though. if you have the double connector near the brake booster wiring in your gauges to work might not be to bad.
fyi i sold my computer for 150 and my harness for 120 on a different mustang site. both items sold super fast. might help you fund some other things you may need.
I've pulled the computer out and I've pulled the harness into the engine bay. There seems to be the headlight harness that comes out of it. Do I need to cut this out of the main harness to keep it.
