I have a motocraft 2 barrel carb and I think its giving me a hard time. I havent had any problems with it untill lately. I think its due to our weather change, its been cold, but lately is alot warmer. Anyway, Ill go out in the morning (cold air) and start it fine. No problems. Then drive to school. When i leave school (warmer air) about 4 hours later, ill start it fine, but then it bogs down and dies. Ill start it again and then it does the same thing...bogs down and dies. And if it doesnt do that right after I start it, it will do it as a come to a stop at a sign or a light or something. Bogs down and dies. Im totally inexperienced with carbs but they seem easy. I was readin my manual and came to the conclusion that the problem might be with my float and that it was running to rich for our recent warm weather. So i lowered the float a little and my car ran fine. I went and came back to work fine. But then the next day, IT HAPPEDNED AGAIN.....bogs down at stops and dies! ALSO, I got some new flowies put on a couple weeks ago. I dont know if that would have anything to do with it...Excuse my inexperience but PLEASE HELP!

Last time I ran an Autolite 2100, it would do the same thing. Swapped a Holley 500 cfm 2 bbl on and solved the problem. Sounds like yours has got a case of vapor lock with the warmer weather and winter gas.

More like the choke is just out of adjustment by a slight amount.
the choke coil is telling it to close because of temp but it closes too far.
Just a thought.
