So am working on my first project and dropped the motor in and everything and I'm hoping to start it up soon. I don't really know anything about carburetors since this is my first time working on one, but some things seem to missing from mine and I was hoping you guys could help me out based on the pics.
Some info about the carb. Its a Holley 4 Barrel with the numbers on the choke tower reading R84011 and the number 2688 underneath that one. and I think its a manual choke because there's a hole in the dash for it but it was removed and I drove it home without one but it cut out a few times on the way home, and a screw seems to be lodged in the choke area?

Am I missing a cable or hookup here because the arm in the photo is just hanging there.

Here's the screw that's been placed in the choke area. I'm not sure if I should take it out or what.(sorry the pic is blurry can take another one if needed)

Im pretty sure thats where your choke cable hooks up, if you can run the engine, you can try manually moving the arm and if it speeds up your idle or makes it run smoother then it is for sure your choke! You will also see the chock plate rotate closed.
