well i thought i had an exhaust leak but to my surprise, yes i am a moron and apparently seemed to have looked over a dime sized hole in the gasket that my carb is mounted on. Im not too sure of the exact name of it but it is the rubber gasket that sits on the intake manifold and under the (spacer/restrictor plate)???? Im not sure but it had a huge hole in it. I went to the auto parts store and got gaskets and silicon stuff to fix it. I thought i could justdo a patch jobbie for now. But when i took it apart to look at it, the rubber piece is actiually really thick and i didnt want the patch to get sucked in. So i turned the piece around the opposite way and it is completely sealed. I went to advanced auto to order a new one from holley and the guy was like i have never seen anything like that in my life. he had no idea what art it was. i was like wtf? The people there aren't really helpful; at all. So i ordered what I thought looked like the right part(this could be the scariest thing ever). it will be in this week and im hoping it is right.

you just need the in papar type gaskets, and don't cement them on.

NEVER EVER use sealer of any kind on a carb gasket.
