I believe the only difference between with the pre-87 sending units is that the ohm range is different. I don't believe their tanks come with sending units. They are designed to accept the stock unit. I did notice that they have 85-86 specific tanks. You may want to give them a call about your 84.

The 86 and older fuel tank sender units are 73 ohms empty, 8-12 ohms full. The 87-93 fuel tank sender units are 22-145 ohms.

@jrichker @RacEoHolic330 So what you're saying is you can use either sending unit in either tank, just use whichever sending unit is right ohm reading for your gauge? I clicked the 85 & 86 section on their page and nothing was listed. I will give them a call when the time comes to order one.

Yes. As long at the sending unit matches (or is very close to) the range of the gauge, it will work fine.
