There are not many people on here on the 2.3L forum that have a carb turbo setup. I am one of about four or five that I know of. There is nothing wrong with putting together a carb turbo setup. If you want to squeeze the maximum amount of horsepower, than the computer controlled fuel injection provide a more elegant solution. But you can tweak a carb turbo setup to provide very close to what you could do with fuel injection. My car has a factory carb turbo so I did not install it in my Stang. But I've been reading that forum link posts and there is much useful info on there on how to build a draw thru carb turbo engine.

you thought efi was bad....wait till u meet mr vaccum mayhem. My bro has a 79 capri RS (drawthru carb turbo) ...neat idea , but heck no is it easier to deal with than EFI when it comes to a turbo setup. Carb's are "generally" easier to play with when it comes to N/a power, but boosted is a whole differnt game. Good luck ..more power to ya! (hopefully)

This forum is generally kind of slow when it comes to the more hardcore or unusual setup's....especially a drawthru carb...id check out turboford.org and do some research/searching for info...i know a few guys on there have a few quick carb setups. Those guys though, u rarely see post from .

there is a draw thru setup.

I had a draw thru set-up for the 2.3 but I sold it but they are available. I had enough power without the turbo in my sandrail. Hooked up on intake side. I am not sure of what years they were used.
