Carburetor '78 V6 engine

I was just wondering what the original carburetor on this engine was, I can only see motorcraft on mine, no numbers or anything. I'm not even sure if I have the original carb on it! Anyway, if anyone can let me know that the stock carb was that would be great!

The early ones definately got the Holley-Weber progressive 2 bbl carb. I don't know if the later ones got some sort of Motorcraft (variable venturi ?) or not.

The Holley-Weber is pretty decent, and the progressive throttle plates means it gets better gas mileage than a standard 2 bbl. It would be very good on a dual or tripple carb intake!

Look for a metal tag on the fuel intake line.

I think I have a '78 V6 2bbl in the garage.

It's just a standard Non California 2bbl, far as I can tell.
