Doing a carpet R&R seems pretty straight forward but I'm wondering if it's necessary to pull the dash or not. Any input or tips would be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to replace all of it.

Thanks
Mike

i'm doing this right now on my 89
all you have to do is remove the rear seats and remove the center console all the way up to the a/c.....
and the scuff padsand of course the two front seats....all is done fast if you have the power tools...

good like right now the car looks funny cause i don't have a center console.

I had to cut mine a little bit to fit it around the radio, but other than that, it fit fine without removing the dash, just the console and the other parts mentioned.

A little advice....lay the new carpet out in the sun for a few hours before you try to put it in. The sun will warm it up and it will relax, making it easier to lay down flat.
