What do you guys prefer when it comes to regular ACC carpet or mass backing carpet? Non mass is $119 and mass jute is $169. I know that mass back helps with noise but who doesn't like to hear their stang?:shrug:Sometimes its good to hear some noises to pin point a problem. I was really leaning towards the mass back because I thought it was some how better than regular. But the way layoffs are going I think I should just get something cheap while I still have a job. Will I be missing out on quality if i go non mass back? Thanks guys

Mass

I just did mine a few weeks ago. I peeled the backing off of the old carpet in some places and added it to the mass back I was installing. Such as under the drivers and passenger floor board. The new stuff is very thin in most places, not even near as thick as the oem carpet.

mass back

Are we speaking of the same carpet?? Mine was exactly the same thick-ness of oem. .. 5.0 resto.[/QUOTEG]ot

Got my carpet from 5.0 resto. as well. I ordered the mass back but when comparing the padding thickness it wasn't anywhere near the oem that came out of the 95 gt. If the slob that I bought the car from would have cleaned up the 2 liter bottle of coke when he spilled it the carpet would not have had to be redone. :nonono:
