Well my car is running again finally. Thanks for everyone who helped me with how to adjust the rockers but that way didnt work. I had to adjust them with the car running and valve covers off. I think this is the only true way to adjust the rockers and this is how I'll be doing it from now on. Its not hard, just gets a little hot and oil everywhere but to get my car running its worth it! letting my car cool down before I go and do the drivers side rockers. So far its a lot quieter than it was when we first did the H/C swap.

Hey that's good to hear. I don't know enough about messing with heads, etc. to have helped out with ur problems, but I did read your posts about them over the last few weeks. I would be totally flipping out if I had dumped that much money into my car and had to deal with all that crap lol. I hope she puts out some killer power now. :nice:

I havent gotten a chance to drive it since I finished just now. I'm going to wait until tomorrow and spray the engine bay down with some simple green and hose all the oil off so nothing catches on fire. If the other way worked for you, more power to ya, but I'll stick with this way if I ever have to do it again.

all you had to do was turn the crank shaft so that each pedistal was at its lowest point and tighten to 5 newtons, on each one the the final tightening is 40 newtons at any position, the first tightening brings them to the resting position on the heads the last one tightnes them down to the proper torque, after you were done all you had to do was oil it up good and crank the engine by hand not hard to do, you do have pedistal mounted Pushrods right, if not soory, I did my heads last week she's been good so far knock on wood.

WTF is a newton?

I swear I'm a very smart person, who knows just a little about cars. But I've never heard of a Newton in my life. It's probably metric, huh ? Figures..... :notnice: . What's wrong with a ft/lb? :flag:

:rlaugh: I'm just glad the cars running again, even if it may run worse, at least it running. Need to play around with the timing and idle tomorrow a little bit too but the car sounds quieter.
