Must aftermarket caster/camber plates be used when converting to front coil over springs?

I'll go out on a limb and say yes, especially if the car will be lowered significantly from stock. There's just not enough adjustability in the stock pieces with the factory set-up, and I don't see why coilovers would be any different.

Not absolutely necessary unless you use bilstein struts but highly recommended.

Just put the strange coilover's on my 89 notch,and they will NOT work without C/C plates.Might as well put them on while your there.

I just ordered UPR coil overs and caster/camber plates. Thanks for the help. I wasn't planning on buying either, but I just completed installing a QA1 k member and a manual rack. I cut one turn off the front 4 cyclinder springs and it's way too low now. I thought I was being consevrative. The negative camber is crazy like this. Now I'll have full height adjustability.
