I wish I had my pics, but they won't be up for another week or so. HOWEVER:

Check out my sig below. I have a total drop of about 1 1/4" and absolutely zero bumpsteer (no bumpsteer equipment needed). I also got a quality alignment that is not agressive, just middle of the road. The MM camber plates look nice (mine are black, not chrome) and the hood clearance is not an issue. I've heard of a couple brands that created hood clearance issues for some.

Driving is an absolute pleasure now, especially with the new suspension on NEW tires. I had all this stuff put on with older tires, but it really woke up with new treads. I'm sure the MM chrome ones look nice, but looks might cost you in other ways with other brands.

Sorry again about no pics.

I currently have Steeda's, but they look like A$$.. I like the Sharky looking chrome ones from UPR..

Does it really matter which ones you get?

and.

Can some of you give me some rec's and show pics regarding some "blingy" ones?

Also, if I get new ones, would anyone be interested in my Steeda's for 1/2 price?

Thanks
RC

Not sure what happened, but I see my response BEFORE the original message. My reply was at least ten minutes after you posted this.

Weird.

I have the old style gold Steeda's also. Definitely not as nice as some of the new chrome ones, but my engine bay is stock anyways, so no biggie. I know some people have had clicking noises from some CC plates, but I've never heard any noises from mine.

And I know what you're sayin Car Nut. I put on steeda springs, Tokico adjustables, CC plates, and 17's on all at once. I couldnt believe how much less brake dive and body roll there was.

Nice engine pic......just don't open that hood in direct sunlight!

I don't think shiny ones make a difference at all, just differences between the brands and overall quality and possibly performance results.

I've got the Hotchkis C/C plates too. They look pretty bad in this pic, but they're awesome when polished.

BTW, my engine bay will not look like this for long. I've just gotta get my DD Exploder back on the road, then Im gonna start on the 418 thats sitting in my garage.

If performance doesnt matter, I will change them out and sell the Steeda's!

I just think they look bad with the rest of my stuff.

I want the Hotchkis because of the non steel bushing. Anyone who has them want to trade for Steeda's?

Not sure yet.....but wanted to start at the "bargain" end of the spectrum if the performance is not that much different.

You should just paint over your Steeda cc plates. I just did a firewall paintjob and sprayed these MM cc plates on request and they ended up looking cool, just a thought. Are you going for major bling-age?

Somebody worried about a little "competitions" Hmm? Hmm?

I will prolly do that since I got some other thing to spend money on right now.

I guess you could just spray them with degreaser, wipe them down well, then just paint right over them on the car??

For me, I would do my metallic red color that I painted the inside pieces, or black!

Thanks
RC

Yeah degreaser and then some dish soap. Wash them twice to make sure you get in all the creases and crevices. Tape around them real good and then use an old sheet to cover you motor. You want to cover everything b/c the slightest breach will give you overspray, so take your time.
