Does anybody know if there is a real difference between weld in mufflers or a cat-back? I have magnaflows on the car because the installer said there wasnt much of a difference. $90 installed for the weld in and $350 for the cat-back.

Also got the Steeda tune in the mail today. Tomorrow will be fun!!!

Not a big difference at all.. Especially if you are N/A'd.. I had Magnaflows welded into my old 02 stock GT catback. The piping on the GT is fine for N/A applications.

I agree. But, I'm not always pragmatic. So I did both, and had a catback welded it.

The factory pipes are decent. Smooth, albet not mandrel-bended, and made of strong stuff. The catback does come with tips big enough to drop a baseball through though. If that's your thang, you could probably buy tips seperately and still save some coin.
