My 94 GT has a stock engine. Last summer I bought a catted h-pipe and installed it. About 4 months later, one of the catalytic converters started rattling. I contacted the place that sold me it and they issued me a warranty replacement. I installed the replacement and now 4 months later, the cats are rattling again.
This is quite annoying because the rattling is very embarrassing. It sounds like I'm driving a junker.
I'm still within the 1-year warranty, but I don't really want to go through the hassle of getting a replacement, only to have it fail 4 more months down the road.
Is something wrong with my car or are these just crappy converters? Are there better quality converters I should get welded in instead? Advice appreciated!
