i'm looking to get a catback pretty soon. right now i've got an o/r x-pipe. which catback system would sound good with this and provide some good hp. i also don't want to spend too much money if it's possible.

cant go wrong with borla or bassani, but then you do pay more for them. But trust me, you would not be dissapointed.
if you have an x, especially an O/R, stay away from chambered mufflers, they are not your friend with that x. Just my .02 though. I am also thinking magnaflows would sound good too, anyone, correct me if im wrong. Also, the price is lower than either bassani or borla.

I love my magnaflows with my o/r x-pipe, they are quite at idle and cruising. They get nice and loud when you really get on the gas.

Another vote for Borla. Magnapacks wouldn't clear my Saleen 10" wide wheels.

That's very odd - sounds like an installation problem to me, unless I'm not understanding you fully. I've got two co-workers over here with 10.5" rims on the back of their cars and our systems clear them just fine.

I have the Borla Stingers but they are not what you want if you are looking to go cheap.

I would the magnapacks if I were in your situation. They are cheap and sound descent.

But imo Borla is worth the $$ as is Bassani.

Hmm, I was at the shop when they tried installing it. Were your co'worker's cars lowered? I had sportlines at the time. maybe possible different wheel offset and backspacing also. They definitely would not fit though, we tried everything. it was only the passenger side also that would not fit. Who know's maybe they sent us a defective part?

I have a Full Mac exhaust, Long tubes, Pro Chamber, mufflers and tips. I have catted X's for emissions. Sounds great! Good price too. I have had them on for 2.5 years, and no probs!!
