hey guys is there a company that makes a catted h-pipe that hooks up to stock manifold on a 97 gt? are the as loud as an o/r? how much power am i losing. i really want catted now seeing as how hard it will be to swap my h-pipe every year.

thanks a ton!!!!

I dunno, ive read its supposed to be REAL EASY but we worked on it for 3 hours with no hope. No socket will fit over the stud and nut and still clear the frame, let alone the universal in there. The only way i can see it working is to remove the O2 and then get a wrench on the nut:shrug: also my o2 sensor is pretty much stuck in there. we used the 02 socket and it won't budge. Used pb, and also warmed up the car for 10 mins till it was to hot to touch and it still wouldn't budge. I know we can get it out but its a pain in the a$$ to have to change every year. also from what i understand the cats don't rob to much hp on an after market mid pipe am i right?

The reason i wanted the h instead of the x is because of the sound not the cost, but i guess im stuck using the x. Will the x still have an old muscle car sound or will it be raspy?

thanks again

I cut one of my sockets down so it would clear. Its hella hard the first time you swap it but it is a lot easier every time after that. MRT sells a catted h that will bolt to the stock manifolds. What state do you live in because in california even the ones with cats arent legal. Or get a tubular k member, then you have hella clearance.
