Catted or o/r .I want your opinions

first i wanna know will there be any difference between a catted H or X and a O/R H or X?? Performance wise of course. I heard that o/r H or X might give slightly more gains, right?
I was thinking of getting a custom H pipe made just for me in a muffler shop(2.5) tubing,it will be much much cheaper for me.is that a good idea?

well i got my catted xpipe for i think around 350 off of LMPERFORMANCE.COM and its SLP and that works great it bolted right on,,,and i have no complaints

well of course changing the mid pipe will give you performance but as far as a catted or O/R pipe it comes down to how loud you want your car their really is hardly any diference in power unless your making big numbers then the O/R will be your choice

unless you buy the JBA mid length headers, that h pipe wont work

I picked up the Mac o/r h-pipe from Brenspeed for $130 shipped. I looked into getting a custom pipe made, but unless you know someone, it really gets expensive. In fact, two local shops said I'd be saving money by buying a pipe online and having them install it vs. having them build one from scratch. One guy even gave me a Jegs catalog. Remember, they are working by the hour. Most mechanic shops are $60-85 per hour. So a two hour job could cost more than a pipe shipped to you. It's easy to install, and gives you a sense of accomplishment after you actually did the work yourself. As for the cats or no cats question, it's all in what you can get away with emissions and how loud you like the car. I went for catless because I had Magnaflows.

Get a MAC O/R H-pipe

H pipes gives a more throaty sound, while X is more of the "nascar" tone. I prefer the H pipe since it sounds more like old 60's muscle cars.

hey hows ur MGW shifter? when you first got it was it rough getting into 1st and second? i say this because i recently purchased a mgw short shifter for my 03 GT 5spd. and its rough getting into 1st gear and going from 1st to 2nd gear.

Yeah it was. Now its smooth. Some say it needs to break in and others say you get used to it. I say its a little of both. Don't worry, just drive.

No. The TR-3650 doesn't need shift stops.

How the hell do they make an H pipe with no cutting and no welding??? And $200 is no bargain anyway...
