Recently installed my UPR Shark 3 bolt cc plates. After driving around i noticed a clunk/thump coming from the cc plates when hitting small bumps and potholes in the road. Went to get my alignment thinking after a pro. checks it everything should be all good. But soon after the same problem presisted. came home double checked everything, tightened the stud retainer nuts and the strut nut using a vise grip to hold the strut bolt so it doesnt turn as i tightened the strut nut as much as i could. some pictures as attached of how it looks after alighment. anyone have the same problem and got in fixed? btw, ive been running stock plates before installing the cc plates, so im pretty sure its these.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

how much persent are you sure are you about the bearing problem? i did a search about it here, but most people either stick their stocks back on or go with MM c/c plates. This fricken sucks!

Is it pretty consistent like every 2-3 seconds over any bump or just once in a while?

HoustonGT: its pretty consistent, it happens whenever i hit a dip in the road, which in hawaii is pretty much everywhere. Any solution?

d90212: honestly bro, i got these for a good deal. a local guy bought it from UPR but didnt have the chance to install it because he crashed his stang, so he sold it to me cheap. you could tell it wasnt installed because there was no scuffs or anything on the plate/bolts/nuts. couldnt pass this deal up

When you installed them, did you make sure the strut was all the way up to the strut tower. The reason I say that is if you re-used the stock bump stops/dust shields and they "appear" to be up all the way (though they are not), all small bumps in the road will push the strut up making a clank nosie.
