CD Player Delete Plate

Looking for a cd player delete plate for my 99 gt. Im going to wire in a Power inverter and use this plate for the jacks etc. that lower din should have the perfect amount of space.

you could fab one up easily enough....

I found mine in a caterpillar MT765. It snapped in perfectly. Made a switch panel out of it.

Theres not a place i could drive up and grab one from dont really feel like fabbing one up just need one that will snap in nice of the bat so i can start working on the important stuff

well looks like im fabbing one up ABS delete plates i found were like 50 bucks when a sheet of 1/8" thick abs 12" x 12" is like 5 bucks. that and my handy dremel and ill be set.

i will post up pictures and a write up on this power inverter install for you guys to check out i havent seen one on stang net and ill be doing this a little differently then others you have seen. I am removeing the cd player from the lower din and in the abs plate im makeing will have two ac power plugs, status led and cooling fan. the acuall unit will be mounted in the din itself. Switch relocated to insided arm rest. should look great when im done. Its a 140 watt inverter i ran a ps2 and tv off of one for hours so this should be good.

Definitely post some pix of that ... I'm interested in doing something like that. Right now I just have the pocket in the slot (bought it from Ford) ...

Well hopefully the car audio store here has abs cause i cant find it anywhere else except Ebay. So ill head out there today. If they got it ill start today. need to get some sturdy wire as well to extend wires. Havent opened up the din yet but im going to mount the unit (stripped) fan and all in the din. using the old units plates as templates. Ill get a good write up going today
